If you want to lose belly fat quickly - then pay attention to 6 simple rules you can use now to get rid of stomach fat for good!

Rule 1: Make sure every meal contains foods rich complex carbohydrates. Also, plan a carbohydrates-rich snack, such as whole-grain crackers and peanut butter, an onion bagel with low-fat cheese, or baked tortilla chips and low-fat bean dip, to curb mid-afternoon snack attacks.

Rule 2: Cut back on sugar-containing foods, including desserts, sugarcoated cereals, candy, sugar-sweetened beverages, and sugary snack foods such as granola bars. Manage sweet cravings by replacing refined sweets with nutrient packed foods, such as fresh fruit, crunchy vegetables, whole-grain bagels, or low-fat yogurt.

Rule 3: Cut back on caffeine from coffee, tea, chocolate, cocoa, colas, and medications. Drink more water instead.

Rule 4: Increase dietary intake of vitamin B6- a nutrient that helps boost serotonin levels - by including several servings daily of foods such as chicken, legumes, fish, bananas, avocados, and dark green leafy vegetables. Whole grains are preferable to refined, enriched grains, since more than 70 percent of the vitamin is lost during processing. Also, include a least two foods that are rich in folic acid in your daily diet, such as spinach, broccoli, orange juice, and chard.

Rule 5: Make changes gradually. Select two or three small changes, and practice these until they are comfortable. Then select two more. This will help assure long-term success in sticking with your plan and will allow your brain chemistry time to adjust to the new eating style without throwing your nerve chemicals into a tailspin.

Rule 6: Take a moderate-dose multiple vitamin and mineral supplement to fill in any nutritional gaps.
